Showcasing four major 3D films, including the Spanish premiere of Battle for Terra and Oceanworld, the festival will also screen the 3D version of Toy Story and The Nightmare Before Christmas presented as the Velodrome 3D Movies. With an approximate audience of 3,000 at each screening, the Velodrome will transform into a Giant Screen theatre experience that will be one of the largest presentations produced at an international film festival.
Partnering with Kelonik who has been collaborating with the San Sebastian Film Festival for several years, along with Christie Digital, the pioneer in digital projection systems--both companies are revered as Spain’s distinctive leaders in digital cinema technologies, integration and exhibition. As the anchor, XpanD will contribute their revolutionary X101 series 3D active glasses which delivers the highest quality in stereoscopic visualization through fast switching, high extinction ratios, and a wide viewing field, resulting in the brightest, true depth and flicker-free imagery and what XpanD has branded as 'Absolute 3D.'
